An amendment for freedom
Article Abstract:
The decision of the Supreme Court which treated flag burning as an act protected under the right of freedom of speech was overwhelmingly opposed in both Houses. Opponents believe that a new flag protection amendment would uphold the First amendment by expressing the views of the majority.

American legionnaires are enjoined to participate in a movement that will push to amend the flag-protection law. It is a move to bring back to the American citizens the right to legally protect the American flag from any acts of physical desecration.
