Another victory for WWII veterans
Article Abstract:
Despite attempts by the National Coalition to Save Our Mall to prevent its construction, the US Congress has passed a bill to allow the building of the World War II Memorial at the National Mall in Washington, DC. The American Legion and other veterans' oragnizations have donated in excess of US$4 million towards the construction of the memorial.

Now is the time to follow up on promises
Article Abstract:
United States presidential candidate George W. Bush made certain promises in his 2000 campaign to American military forces and veterans. Since elected President, the call is made for him to retain these promises, such as the rebuilding of a military power in decline.
