Are women's hearts different?

Some cardiologists are saying that women's hearts may be physiologically different from men's hearts, and that diagnosis and treatment for women heart patients should be reassessed. Women face much higher risks of dying from heart disease than cancer.

Asthma kills: in spite of drugs - and because of drugs - the death toll rises
Article Abstract:
Deaths from childhood asthma increased in the 1980s. One factor appears to be the use of beta-agonist bronchodilators that alleviate symptoms but allow underlying inflammation to worsen. New approaches to asthma management are discussed.

A lethal influenza outbreak killed 196,000 Americans in the US in 1918, and another flu pandemic is predicted before the year 2000. A major alteration of the surface antigens on the flu virus would cause a severe international outbreak.
