RoboTuna to the rescue

David Barrett has designed RoboTuna, a fish-like robotic submarine that uses a side-to-side motion to propel itself. It can conduct underwater research for months at a time. Researchers have also developed a robotic lobster to fight pollution and a robotic crab to blow up underwater mines.
