Blue cap campuses: some departments sponsor "colleges" and similar forums to develop their members' skills

American Legion departments, including Pennsylvania and Colorado, are providing training to members in Legion Colleges. The training will give members the needed skills to help them develop their leadership potentials. Constant training is vital in maintaining quality members and recruiting new ones.

Boys Nation trains young leaders
Article Abstract:
The American Legion established the Boys Nation training program to inculcate leadership skills and abilities in teenage boys. Part of the training includes a visit to legislative bodies and instruction into the legislative process.
