Tribute to Tennessee veterans spans the globe
Article Abstract:
A war memorial to honor military men and women from Tennessee who served in World War II was built in Nashville. The memorial was built through the efforts of the American Legion and retired Army Maj Gen Hugh Mott and is located in the city's Bicentennial Capital Mall.

Tennessee Post 17 houses needy veterans

The local Tennessee unit of the American Legion has established a housing facility for veterans in Gallatin, TN. The facility is called the Sumner County Veterans Home provides care and lodging to local and transient veterans.
