Barbara Ernst Prey, a Maine watercolorist and widely viewed painter whose pieces are immense, lovingly rendered master-pieces alive from one edge to the other with consummate technique. She majored in art history at Williams College in Massachusetts after which she received a Fulbright scholarship to paint and study baroque art in Germany.

The town that wouldn't back down
Article Abstract:
A case involving a Chester, NH, zoning ordinance became an allegory for the war between the classes. The plaintiffs were a contractor and two low-income families who sued the town when its ordinance forbade the contractor from building low income housing on his land.

The rock group Aerosmith took Boston, MA, and the world by storm in the 1970s and despite troubles with drugs the group has survived until 2001. Boston, MA, has always been a special place for the band, which has kept its workhorse roots.
