Article Abstract:
Cape Cods has 365 kettle ponds aging back about 10,000 to 18,000 years to the Ice age when the retreating glaciers left behind huge ice blocks which formed deep depressions on meting and freshwater kettle ponds were formed. Some of the kettle ponds described include the Wakeby and Mashpee ponds, Punch bowl and Hathaways pond.
