Article Abstract:
A story of the 45-year-old mother suffering from the rare genetic disease Neurofibromatosis type II and the problems she faced is presented. The fast growing cochlear implant technology helped her to hear things though she doesn't have any nerve connecting to the brain by the new technology called penetrating auditory brainstem Implant (PABI). This instrument activates nerves, which are related to normal biological functions.
