Indianapolis Colts defensive back Faulk was named the Most Valuable Player at the 1995 Pro Bowl, even though he was the only rookie in the game. Faulk, at 5 feet, 10 inches, is relatively short for a football player, but his size has made him more determined to prove his ability.

Taking a stand: Oakland kids just say no to violence

Northern Light School has taken a stand against violence in its Oakland, CA, neighborhood, and across the US. A drive-by shooting inspired the students to found a club called The Commitment. Members disavow violent toys, movies and YV shows, and campaign for peaceful activities.
