Fragile-x test
Article Abstract:
A new test for determining whether a woman carries the fragile-X genetic defect has been developed. The one out of 700 pregnant women who is positive for the defect can then go through amniocentesis or chorionic-villus tests to establish whether the fetus also carries the fragile-X genetic defect.
