Organizations often encounter the paradox of team organization in the workplace when management fails to recognize and correct discrepancies involving teamwork and individual performance. Despite the numerous benefits of team organization, management usually fails to set clear objectives for the team. Employees also receive mixed signals when management encourages teamwork while expecting workers to compete for individual rewards.
