Taking the offensive against sprawl
Article Abstract:
It is clear that biosolids cannot be spread in suburban areas, according to Maine State Planning Office Director Evan Richert. However, the spreading of biosolids must continue, as it is a responsible approach to dealing with that element of the waste stream. Those who move from the suburbs into rural areas should not believe that they are protecting the rural landscape by campaigning against the spreading of biosolids. It is vital to campaign against attacks on traditional rural activities.
