Getting beyond the crime
Article Abstract:
Restorative justice (RJ) is a growing movement that offers the family members and victims of various crimes, the opportunity to speak with their offenders, gain the real information, begin healing, and move on with life. While the research on RJ shows that the sessions really help the victims overcome the trauma as they often stop cursing the criminal and regain the sense of power, about 95 percent of offenders find the sessions useful for them.
