Great eating from Amish country
Article Abstract:
Many Amish live in the north-central area of Indiana and continue their traditional ways of life. Visitors to the area also enjoy sampling Amish food, which is traditionally simple but delicious. A variety of Amish recipes, ranging from sourdough biscuits to shoo-fly pie, is presented.

Tastes of the old country
Article Abstract:
Immigrants who settled in eastern Wisconsin developed a culinary tradition unique to the area. Recipes for onion-dill bread, old-country Belgian pie, Dutch lettuce, Oliebollen, Bohemian apple waffles and spaetzle, no-knead European breads, Pulaski pierogis are also provided.

Green County, WI, is known for its cheese plants which produce a number of award-winning cheeses and speciality cheeses. The area has produced cheese for over one hundred and fifty years and a selection of recipes using cheese are presented.
