The lower tax structure in Japan in the past decade has facilitated economic growth. Profit-making activities are not hampered by excessive taxation. Resource allocation is not distorted into tax shelters. Favorable tax rates exist for both corporations and individuals.

Tejano turning Japanese
Article Abstract:
Hispanic culture is fast becoming popular among Japanese people, particularly with regards to Tejano or Conjunto music. Such popularity is evidenced by the establishment of a Japanese Tejano band called 'Los Gatos' which performs Hispanic music.
