Article Abstract:
Deana Wild left Kentucky and stayed with Jimmy Coates' parents, Virginia Rearden and Billie Joe McGinnis. A few months later, she allegedly fell to her death. Her mother did not believe this and she found out that Rearden and McGinnnis pushed Wild to collect insurance. Rearden was convicted of murder.

The stranger abduction of Edwin Cortez by Sergio Madriz Soto provided the community and the police of San Jose, CA, a chance to get together to save one of their own. The child was found shaken but unharmed and the experience gave the community a sense of satisfaction in their capabilities.

A divorced woman was raped by a sex-starved shoe repairman named David Fleury. Although at first, it seemed that justice would elude the rape victim, she was finally able to testify against her assailant who was sentenced to 2 life terms plus 189 years more without parole.
