Last stand at Tanglewood
Article Abstract:
The conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein was born in Massachusetts and although he spent his life travelling the world he returned to his roots for his last concert. The Tanglewood Music Festival in Lenox, MA, saw a gravely ill Bernstein conduct for the last time in August 1990.

Conductor Sir Andre Previn, who is best known for his classical and jazz music accomplishments, has worked with the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Isaac Stern. His first opera, "A Streetcar Named Desire," is scheduled for a September 1998 premier at the San Francisco Opera.

Last rumba in Vermont

A man remembers his experience as a 12-year-old when while at a summer camp in Vermont he fell in love with his dance partner at the first camp dance. Although he never saw her again he still remembers her name, her laugh and how she looked a bit like Gene Tierney.
