Keeping up with the electronic age
Article Abstract:
Geographical research papers are increasingly being published electronically, but issues of refereeing, quality control, and review still have to be decided. Electronic papers published in virtual journals are the wave of the future, but traditional libraries and publication methods remain valuable. Geographical virtual journals will be an improvement over traditional paper publications because of the enhanced graphics capabilities.

The Centennial Year
Article Abstract:
This being the year of the IEEE Centennial, many special events are planned, corresponding to changes in the Proceedings of the IEEE. Key papers in the history of electrical engineering since 1884 will be published along with a new history of the profession. A special symposium has been planned for the May 1984 meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Let's enforce our movie ratings
Article Abstract:
Movie ratings should be strictly enforced in movie theaters. There are children below 17 years of age that are admitted to R-rated movies without an adult companion. Children will begin to think violence and inappropriate sexual behavior as normal when they see it.
