Craig Reedie
Article Abstract:
Craig Reedie has been appointed Chair of the British Olympic Association (BOA). His immediate concern is to publicise (BOA) support for Manchester's bid to host the Olympic Games in 2000. Future aims include BOA representation on the proposed United Kingdom Sports Committee. The amalgamation of Olympic and non-Olympic sports under one administrative body is a further possibility. Reedie believes in extending Olympic training and providing optimum support for competitors. He advocates higher qualifying standards to reduce the size of the games.
