Article Abstract:
The 2001 Nobel laureate for literature, V.S. Naipaul, has written much about Islam, and his writings have been criticized by Muslims. He believes that people who have converted to Islam feel they have to prove themselves, and that the idea of brotherhood is what attracts people to Islam. He believes the Sep 11, 2001 terrorist attacks were motivated by religious hatred.
