A eye witness describes the incident which he observed where three trucks vanished under the frail ice in a matter of seconds due to the thick ice layer was only 6 or 7 inches thick. After few hours with the help of snowmobile, winches, slings, and jury-rigged wooden cradles the three trucks were hauled up out of the depths.
