A cottage industry in abductions: kidnappers target foreign executives

Approximately 1,500 to 2,000 kidnappings of executives occurred in Mexico in 1995, causing many foreign corporate leaders to hire security personnel. Ransoms range from $1,000 to millions of dollars. Tips on avoiding being kidnapped are given.
