The public and private gardens found in Suzhou, China, are constant sources of happiness for visitors and pride for residents. The gardens epitomize the universe, with yin signified by water and the prime feature of rocks representing the masculine aura of yang.

A group of Russian pilgrims, some of whom were women, went to a rural monastery whose foundations were being laid. They exuberantly participated in the blessing of the monastery waters by bathing, in what seemed to be an absolution for their sins and sufferings.

The valley of thirst: Mexico City is running out of water
Article Abstract:
Lack of potable drinking water is the worst ecological problem plaguing Mexico today. Local sources of water is being drained faster than it is being naturally replenished. Moreover, 8 million people living in Mexico City do not have running water.
