Open hearts: an American medical team brings life to 25 dying children in Guatemala

Three surgeons and 25 nurses arrived in Guatemala as part of the Healing the Children project to perform life-saving cardiac surgery on children. The volunteer work 12 hour days performing 5 operations a day. Local medical personnel are invited to observe and learn from the volunteers.
