The accuracy of weather forecasts has not improved over the years. Outdated equipment and ever-changing air conditions prevent weathercasters from making accurate decisions. Many businesses have begun relying on private weather stations as government fails to update their weather forecasting equipments.

Mood swings which are prevalent during seasonal changes are identified as seasonal affective disorder. Research shows that darkness induces secretion of melatonin, resulting in high carbohydrate cravings and the need to introduce serotonin to the system to improve moods.
