'PM' made a lasting impact on American journalism with its crusade against racism, anti-Semitism and big business. Launched on Jun 18, 1940, as a five-cent newspaper, 'PM' drew both anger and praise for its provocative rhetoric and ultimately closed down on Jun 22, 1948.
