Progress in Korea: MIA efforts reported
Article Abstract:
A group from the American Legion went to North Korea to monitor excavations and repatriation of American servicemen who died in the Korean War. The group reported that the North Koreans were cooperating in the excavations. Korean military officials, however, want the US to give more funds to Koreans.

PNC receives home-state recognition

Former American Legion National Commander Henry L. Stevens Jr. is being honored by his home state of North Carolina with a highway marker. Stevens, who died in 1971, was the youngest-ever American Legion National Commander at 35.
