Painter Robert Rauschenberg describes his paintings as a fusion of the technological innovations of today and his desire to photograph the world in its entirety and magnitude. His paintings will be exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum with themes ranging from the dark to the grotesque.

Hockney's natural wonder

Painter David Hockney completed his latest creation, "A Bigger Grand Canyon," in a 3-month period. His depiction of the natural landmark, which used 60 separate canvasses, will be featured at the National Museum of American Art from June 1, 1998 to September 1998.
