Article Abstract:
Hearing loss is common in the United States, affecting one in ten Americans, with the veterans particularly at risk for noise-induced hearing loss. There are chances for improvement in the detection and treatment of hearing loss but one needs to be proactive when it comes to prevention, which is possible by consulting a primary-care physician or to an ear, nose and throat physician.
