Chernobyl-type reactors to be kept
Article Abstract:
Russians at the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency meeting that ended Nov 5, 1992, informed Western experts that the country's remaining Chernobyl-type nuclear reactors will operate indefinitely. Some 15 such reactors are operating in former Soviet republics and in Eastern Europe.
