A foster parent recalls the difficulties her family faced when they adopted a neglected child for several months. The most difficult aspect of the adoption was letting the child go after caring and loving him. Despite the hardships and heartaches, she and her family intend to continue adopting children.

Foster parenthood can be a painful experience, as a couple found out. They were foster parents for three months to a lovable boy named Jeremy, who was sent to live with his grandparents. Despite their sad experience with Jeremy, the couple continues to be foster parents to unfortunate children.

Richard and Susan Miniter had a difficult time being foster parents to Mike. Mike was a severely neglected and abused child and had been in foster care since he was 11 months old. The Miniters' patience and love slowly transformed Mike's antisocial behavior into normality.
