TAPS: helping survivors cope

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors is a support network for family members of military personnel killed in the line of duty. The non-profit organization provides services for military survivors. Bonnie Carroll helped to create TAPS after her husband, an Army National Guard soldier, was killed in a plane crash.
