The DNA-ing of America
Article Abstract:
The DNA has become an American cultural icon and is now being used to sell not only concepts, but also inanimate objects such as cars. It crops up in all forms of discourses from politics to entertainment. In the scientific field from whence it sprung, it is creating a shift towards nonsexist language as researchers see its creation through the interaction between the sperm and the egg.
