Donna Baron, the curator of the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum in Wethersfield, Connecticut is using dating techniques for surveying the exterior of an 18th-century house in New England. The dating technique called dendrochronology is allowing house detectives a chance to literally drill into the farming timbers and extracts the equivalent of a home's DNA.
