Johnson started gardening at the age of 10, and the 79-year-old maintains a lush garden at his suburban home. The stone walkway to his backyard is lined with hanging baskets full of purple lobelias and fuchsias, and his backyard garden includes many flowers. He shares some of his gardening techniques.
