The history of the oldest one-room schoolhouse
Article Abstract:
The Brick School in Franklin, MA, is 200 years old in 1992 though the original wooden schoolhouse was replaced in 1833. The school was declared unsafe and closed in 1959 and almost closed a second time. Each time citizens supported the school, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Molly Stark Trail: a hero goes home
Article Abstract:
The Molly Stark Trail is the first route that scales almost 1200 vertical feet of zigzags off the Green Mountains of Vermont. The erstwhile Windham Turnpike, also indicated in maps as Route 9, was named Molly Stark Trail in 1967 by the state board of libraries.
