Mercury retrograde, which is a term referred to times when the planet Mercury appears from Earth to slow down and reverse direction in its course around the Sun, is that period in the year when all our plans go astray, disrupts schedules, casts doubts on cherished dreams, upsets relationships and makes a mess of computers and cars. The views of astrologers and scientists on the Mercury's ability to stir chaos during these periods are described.
