The show in the sky
Article Abstract:
On clear evenings many celestial events are visible from North America. Meteors that break off from comets ignite into fiery explosions when they enter Earth's atmosphere. Meteor showers occur at different times of the year with the Perseid Shower in August being the most notable. 1997 will also be highlighted by the arrival of Comet Hale-Bopp in March and April.
