The true cost of separation

Canadian separatists cling to the idea that a Quebec separation would not alter the nation's economy and it would even emerge stronger. This is a delusion. Political separation will weaken the currency as there will now be two regional currencies vying for strength and the economy will crumble.

Make the rich pay? This inevitably means whack the middle class too
Article Abstract:
Proposals to increase taxation on the rich in Canada are bound to fail since there are only a few rich citizens in the country anyway. Worse, this initiative could eventually devolve into a higher tax for the middle class which will be more economically counterproductive.
