Pro golfer Val Skinner remains committed to her Midwest roots amid all the flurry of tournaments and globe-trotting. Skinner credits her home-state Nebraska for preparing her to play in nasty weather. Skinner hosted the National Breast Cancer Coalition Charity Pro-Am in Jackson, NJ, in 1995.
