The emotional bond between Frank Turner and his father-in-law Frank Aguirre compelled Turner to find Aguirre's murderer. From his home in Long Beach, CA, Turner drove to San Jose, CA, to find leads or track down the killer. His efforts led to the arrest and conviction of Antonio Ruiz Arreola.

Rajon Begin, Brian Gundy and Chris Eyre prevented a would-be jumper, Charles Crawford, from jumping to his death on Auto Mall Parkway in San Jose, CA. After talking to Crawford for several minutes, they were able to convince him to come down from the safety fence of the overpass.
