Issues relating to the power shortage in California are examined. Since the 1980's power supply to the state has been discussed but potential solutions have been constantly rejected by politicians. Over the past 20 years, California's energy demands have increased by approximately 20%.

Jewish communities in St Louis, MO, and Chicago, IL, celebrate the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah with songs, games and olden traditions, such as the lighting of the Hanukkah menorah or chanukiah. Hanukkah is an eight-day festival that falls anywhere from late November to late December.
