Until they are home: Recovery teams scour the earth for remains of the fallen Americans

The United States team is part of a $44-million-a-year Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC) which is a recovery unit comprised of military and civilian specialist who searched the land to repatriate and identify the remains of felled American warriors. The people of JPAC carry out this mission, mindful of the nation's longstanding tradition to recover the remains of men and women who died at war.
