Whales are among the largest animals in the world, and the Blue Whale is the largest creature to have ever inhabited Earth. Whales were once so highly valued for their blubber, a rich source of oil, that hunting almost rendered them extinct. There are approximately 40 varieties of whales in the world.

Egypt's Valley of the Kings has become the subject of renewed efforts of exploration by archeologists. Some of the tombs that exist in the Valley of the Kings have remained untouched for 2,000 years and are buried under tons of rubble. The Valley was the burial place of Egypt's pharaohs.

Grizzly tales

Alaska's Kodiak Island is famous for its brown bears. There are around 2500 bears roaming the island. Thus, it is normal to encounter these bears in the street, supermarket or even in the neighbor's very own kitchen.
