You can't do that on television: Why abortion doesn't show up on the small screen anymore

The discourse around abortion and reproductive rights has narrowed to the point where it is more difficult than it once was to introduce the issue of abortion on an American TV show. Television networks are reluctant to run the risk of offending people on either side of the issue, and as a result what is shown on TV is not likely to satisfy anyone, irrespective of their viewpoint.
