A tiebout theory of public vs private provision of collective goods
Article Abstract:
Analysis of behavior regarding voluntary and forced contributions for public goods reveals that stratified equilibria exists where richer individuals migrate to voluntary provision communities and poorer people move to a public provision community. The also study finds that there is an equilibrium where individuals migrate to a community with voluntary provisions; that individuals migrate to communities with forced provisions under robust conditions on preferences, and; that an 'interior' equilibria exists where migration is equal when income distribution is sufficiently polarized.

Pay-as-you-go public pensions with endogenous fertility
Article Abstract:
A study on the relationship between public pension plans and fertility rate is presented. Findings indicated that social security assistance have a sustained positive behavior and optimal stationary allocation is only sustainable if savings are zero and fertility is exogenous. An adoption of a social security plan by the government may not produce a sustainable optical allocation in general even with extended goverment pressure because contributions by the young to the old may be changed to reoptimize their utility.

Endogenous fertility and the age-old security hypothesis: a note
Article Abstract:
A large part of the results of Nishimura and Zhang's works on endogenous fertility and age-old security in 1992 and 1993 are incorrect because they had assumed that the optima of utility maximization projects are given by interior solutions. Proof that fertility and saving cannot be both positive in two cases, under the Nash equilibrium and in the optimal steady state, are provided.
