Addressing the issues: Southern governors discuss obesity, insurance, economics, energy
Article Abstract:
At the 73rd annual meeting of the Southern Governor's Asoociation (SGA), governors and medical experts discussed obesity and its impact on the US economy. The regional economic growth and work force pressures in a globalized economy were discussed by Federal Reserve Bank presidents. Stabilizing residential and commercial insurance markets in pre- and post event situations were tackled by the member governors of the SGA and insurance executives, and a panel of energy and workforce experts discussed industry trends, consumer demand, economic and job growth.
