Cut to the bone
Article Abstract:
The survey done by the California Association of Non-profits (CAN) in March 2004 showed that more than 40 percent of all Non-profit organizations were operating with less revenue than 2003. Flo Green, the executive director of the Los Angeles based CAN whose 2,000 members are mainly non-profits, says that the budget cuts imposed on the non-profits will take years to rebuild.

Young and rootless
Article Abstract:
The homeless teens in the California state, dependent on the nonprofits and government programs, are affected badly by the budget cuts on these organizations. Operating on limited funds and increasingly crunched by cutbacks, the non-profits are turning to ways they can maximize their effectiveness by tightening budgets still further.
