Timing equilibria in an urban model with congestion

Article Abstract:

The only traffic congestion model of equilibrium that exists where commuters are allowed to determine their departure time is when commuting is continuous. Since this exists nowhere, other models with more realistic equilibria exist.

How common is housing discrimination? Improving on traditional measures

Article Abstract:

Fair housing audits help determine the level of racial discrimination in housing markets. Data showing white mortgage applicants being favored may overstate discrimination, while data showing the proportion between how whites and non-whites are treated understate discrimination, so a new audit model is presented.

Equilibria with local governments and commuting: income sorting vs income mixing

Article Abstract:

A model of fiscal competition is suggested using a model of two jurisdictions and two income classes. There is an equilibrium in income sorting, which may contain undeveloped land. The equilibrium in income mixing arises because of the way land prices adjust to both fiscal differences and commuting costs.
